Falu Rödfärg is the traditional paint that is used on the red cottages and wooden houses across Sweden. The Paint has its origin from the 16th century and is based on copper from the mines around Falun  in the Dalecarlia region.We were asked to come up with an iconic design for their different shades: Red, Light Red, Ochre, Terra and Black. To make it simple to stand out from the competitors we used symbolic houses from the Dalecarlia region and painted them in the specific colour, so you could communicate straight away: for outdoor use, from the Dalecarlia region and which shade it is.
